Hello Everybody, the last 3 days we have enjoyed the beautiful port town of Fremantle. (about 20 minutes south of Perth by car) I love the Victorian architecture, it gives the town an old feel. (sorry too busy enjoying it and didn’t take photos) It also has lots of remnants from Australia’s days as a British penal colony. And then there is the old Freemantle Prison, which housed convicts from the 1850s to 1991. It is also surrounded by some beautiful beaches. We have been staying at a place called Woodmans Point which is located in the suburb of Munster. Here is a snap of one of the ships coming into the port.
We also did a quick trip into Perth to pick up Tony and Karen as they did the river cruise from Fremantle to Perth that Chris and I had done on a previous trip. Here are a couple of snaps of Perth and my new car.
FAREWELL TO TONY AND KAREN
Tony and Karen left for home this morning. It has been really fun having them here while we explored the south of Western Australia. With their arrival back on the 31st of August in Ceduna, we were reintroduced to a schedule and time became a factor again. So while we will miss their company, Chris and I will enjoy the slip back into a slower paced trip. We wish them safe travels back across the Nullarbor. I should have a photo of them waving goodbye but they left at 5.30 in the morning and I we were still in bed! So here is one taken during the trip. Thanks for the memories. 🙂
